Academics - General Education Requirements
Every University of Maine academic program is based upon a strong foundation in the liberal arts and sciences. The University’s online Undergraduate Catalog provides a full description of the six categories that are the basis for these requirements. General education requirements for a specific course are listed in the “Course Description” section.
To view the current course offerings meeting specific general education requirements, go to the online Class Search. Under the “Additional Search Criteria” section, locate the General Eduaction category field at the bottom of the page, select the appropriate category from the drop-down box and click search.
